Biography
John Fearn Paton was born at Buenos Aires in 1890, probably of British parents. He lived at 12, Snowdon Road, Seaforth, Liverpool, Lancashire, where he rented a room from a Mrs. Joynson. His parents lived in Africa, and he had little dealings with them.
He served as Steering Engineer in the Engineering Department on board the
Lusitania and he was killed when she was sunk. He was aged 25 years.
His body was never recovered and identified and his name is embossed on the on the Mercantile Marine Memorial at Tower Hill, London.
