Biography
Michael Rice was born in County Armagh, Ireland, in 1855, the son of Patrick and Mary Rice.
He served as a fireman in the Engineering Department on board the Lusitania and he was killed when she was sunk. He was aged 60 years.
His body was not recovered and identified afterwards and as a result, he is commemorated on the Mercantile Marine Memorial at Tower Hill, London.
