Biography
Stephen Rice was born in County Armagh, Ireland, in 1864. In 1915, he resided with his married brother, Martin, and his family at 2. Juliet Street, Kirkdale, Liverpool. Stephen was unmarried.
He served on board the Lusitania as a fireman in the Engineering Department.
He survived the sinking and was landed at Queenstown where he was treated at the local Infirmary for bruising.
He continued to serve as a fireman in the mercantile marine for many years after the Lusitania sinking, but nothing further is known about him.
